Shristy’s dream was born not from ambition alone, but from gratitude.
Growing up without her father meant watching her mother become the only pillar of the family. Every meal, every notebook, every school expense came through her mother’s relentless hard work. Despite carrying responsibilities far beyond her years, Shristy never allowed hardship to become an excuse.
Instead, she made it her motivation.
When she joined Asha Ki Kiran Foundation, she quickly stood out—not because she spoke the loudest, but because she listened carefully, worked consistently, and quietly excelled in everything she did.
Education became her favourite companion.
She realised that knowledge had the power to change not only one life but generations to come.
Alongside academics, Shristy also discovered yoga through the Foundation. What began as a simple activity gradually became a way of life. Yoga taught her discipline, patience, emotional balance, and the importance of inner strength.
It helped her believe that true success comes from both a healthy mind and a compassionate heart.
Today, Shristy is one of the brightest students in Class 9.
Yet when people ask about her future, she never speaks about wealth or status.
She simply says,
“I want to become a teacher.”
Not because it is an easy profession.
But because she wants to become the person who changes a child’s life the way her teachers changed hers.
She wants to stand before classrooms filled with children from underserved communities and tell them that their background can never determine their future.
She wants to become proof that education creates more educators, more leaders, and more hope.
